Myrna

Myrna Gourgy arrived with her immigrant family to the United States when she was a small child. Myrna joined the Moves & Grooves Ladies of Purpose Mentoring Program in 2010 in hopes of finding her voice. Since then, Moves & Grooves never stopped making an impact on her life. Moves & Grooves founder Dr. Emerald Mitchell continued to keep in touch throughout her high school and college career as a personal mentor and friend. Through Moves & Grooves, Myrna learned the importance of being a leader, giving back and using her voice to make a difference. Myrna was actively involved in many organizations at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and gained over 250 hours of community service during her college career. In 2019, Myrna obtained a degree in Kinesiology to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. She continues to make us and her family proud!
